Kununurra
Kununurra is a small, picturesque inland town located in the East Kimberley area of Western Australia, about 3,000 km north of Perth.
Kununurra was founded in the late 1950’s and is a modern town that provides the perfect location to explore the impressive landscape of the surrounding Kimberley Region. You’ll find magnificent scenery close by, including the Ord River, Mirima National Park, Lake Argyle and The Grotto. The Grotto is a small canyon providing a spectacular but safe natural swimming hole, with many thundering waterfalls running into the canyon.
Kununurra Airport is just 2km out of town, with flights daily to and from Darwin, Broome, Perth and Argyle. Home to popular car hire companies, at Kununurra your can hire a car and pick it up on your arrival at the airport.
